2. Scope of our services
We provide the following services and products:
- In-salon beauty treatments and services
- Training courses and educational content (in-person and/or online)
- Digital or downloadable materials relating to courses
- Retail products, tools and supplies (including items available only to course students)
Additional service-specific terms may apply to certain treatments, promotions or courses. These will be explained at the time of booking or purchase and shall form part of these Terms.
3. Bookings for treatments
3.1 Booking process
You can request and manage bookings via our website, by phone, or in person. Online bookings may require you to create an account on our site.
Your booking is confirmed only when:
- We have accepted your request, and
- Any required deposit or payment has been received, and
- You have received a confirmation email or message from us.
3.2 Deposits and payments
For some treatments, we may require a **deposit** or **full payment** in advance to secure your appointment. The amount and payment terms will be shown during the booking process and/or in your confirmation email.
By paying a deposit or full amount, you agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show terms set out in this document.
3.3 Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
Our general policy is:
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your appointment: your deposit may be transferred to a new date or refunded, at our discretion.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment, or failure to attend (no-show), may result in the loss of your deposit or a cancellation fee.
Specific treatments or promotional offers may have different cancellation terms, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
3.4 Late arrivals
Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late, we may need to shorten or adjust the service to avoid delaying other clients. If you arrive significantly late, we may not be able to carry out the treatment and a cancellation/no-show fee may apply.
3.5 Patch tests and medical information
For certain treatments (such as lashes, brows, tinting or other procedures), a **patch test** may be required at least 24 hours before the appointment. If you do not attend a required patch test or fail to disclose relevant information, we may refuse to carry out the treatment for safety reasons.
You must inform us of:
- Any allergies or sensitivities
- Medical conditions or medications that might affect your treatment
- Recent procedures (e.g. cosmetic treatments, surgery)
We are not responsible for any adverse reaction where you have failed to provide accurate or complete information, or have not followed our pre- or aftercare advice.
4. Training courses and educational content
4.1 Course bookings
When you purchase or enrol on a course, you are entering into an agreement for training services and any associated materials as described on the course page.
Course places are subject to availability and are confirmed only once payment (deposit or full amount, depending on the course) has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.
4.2 Payments, deposits and instalments
Course fees and payment options (e.g. deposit, instalments, full payment) will be clearly shown at the time of booking. By making a payment, you agree to the fee and any specified payment schedule.
Failure to make instalment payments on time may result in suspension or cancellation of your course access without refund.
4.3 Course cancellations and transfers
Our general course cancellation policy is:
- Deposits are generally non-refundable.
- Cancellations requested more than a week before the start date: we may offer a partial refund or transfer to another course date, subject to an administration fee.
- Cancellations requested less than a week before the start date, or non-attendance: course fees are generally non-refundable.
In some circumstances (e.g. illness or emergencies), we may offer a transfer or partial credit at our discretion. Any such goodwill gesture does not affect our standard policy.
4.4 Online courses and digital content
If your course includes online access or downloadable materials:
- You will receive login details and instructions after payment has been confirmed.
- Access may be time-limited (for example X months from the date of purchase). This will be explained on the course page.
- Access is for your personal use only and must not be shared, resold or distributed.
Because digital content can be accessed immediately, **refunds are generally not available** once access has been provided, except where required by law.
4.5 Course completion and certification
Where a course includes a certificate, this will usually require:
- Attendance or completion of all required modules, and
- Satisfactory completion of any assessments or case studies, as specified for that course.
We reserve the right to withhold a certificate if course requirements have not been met.
5. Retail products and shop orders
5.1 Product information
We aim to provide accurate descriptions, images and pricing for all products. However, minor differences in colour or packaging may occur. If we discover an error in pricing or description, we will contact you and give you the option to reconfirm or cancel your order.
5.2 Orders and availability
All orders are subject to availability. If a product is out of stock or unavailable after you place an order, we will inform you and may offer a refund, alternative product or backorder option where possible.
5.3 Delivery and collection
Delivery and/or collection options, costs and timescales will be shown at checkout. We will use reasonable efforts to meet estimated timelines, but we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control or by third-party couriers.
5.4 Returns and refunds (products)
For hygiene and safety reasons, some items (such as opened cosmetic products, used tools or items with broken seals) cannot be returned unless faulty.
If you wish to return an item:
- Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
- Items should be unused, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition, unless they are faulty.
- Refunds will usually be processed using the original payment method once the item has been inspected.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
6. Gift vouchers and promotions (if applicable)
If we offer gift vouchers or promotional codes, the following general rules apply unless otherwise stated:
- Vouchers are valid until the expiry date shown and cannot be extended unless we agree in writing.
- Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Promotional offers may be subject to specific conditions (e.g. limited dates, eligible treatments, minimum spend).
- We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotions at any time.
7. Eligibility, behaviour and salon rules
By booking or attending an appointment or course, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years old, or have appropriate parental/guardian consent where required.
- You will follow our health and safety guidelines and any instructions given by our staff.
- You will behave respectfully towards our team and other clients.
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a session without refund if a client behaves in an abusive, threatening or inappropriate manner, or if we believe proceeding would be unsafe or unsuitable for health reasons.
8. Accounts, passwords and security
If you create an online account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to:
- Use a secure password and keep it confidential
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Not share your login details or course access with others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are misused or used in breach of these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
All content on our website and within our courses, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, videos, training materials and logos, is owned by or licensed to VBeauty Wigan and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You must not:
- Copy, distribute, reproduce or resell our content without written permission
- Share or upload our course materials to any public platform
- Use our branding, logos or designs without consent
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, we will not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable
- Any loss of business, profits, revenue or opportunity
- Any issues arising where you have failed to follow our advice, aftercare instructions or these Terms
If we have to cancel or reschedule a booking or course due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. illness, emergencies, government restrictions), our liability will normally be limited to a refund of any fees paid for the affected appointment or course, or a rebooking where possible.
11. Website use and availability
We aim to keep our website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be up to date, error-free or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change parts of the site without notice for maintenance or other reasons.
You must not use our website for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or business practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
By continuing to use our website or services after changes are made, you are deemed to have accepted the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
